But also, Butchers. They only had the meat department at the grocery store in Faraway, so an entire store dedicated solely to meat was a new one to him. Regardless, he walks up to the counter without any hesitation to talk to the butcher there.]
[this already seems like the right choice. even if he doesn't end up liking the game he thinks making sunny happy is worth playing it a bit.
so he's pleased as well as they enter. mob's vaguely aware of butchers as a concept, though they never used something like that in it's own shop and not precut in supermarkets. so he decides sunny clearly knows better and can take the lead, which he does.
yeah? sunny nailed it. mob just stands behind him, looking to the butcher expectantly. the butcher, an older woman with biceps to make a lesbian cry just stares at the two weirdo kids before her. fucking sleepers man, they're so much.
when she asks what kind of blood exactly mob does offer,] Do you have fish blood?
[maybe? the woman's flat look and even flatter 'no' kill that dream.]
[The fish blood was a long shot, so Sunny isn't too terribly disappointed to hear that there wasn't any. He apparently isn't even intimidated by this woman, nor her flat looks.]
What about pig's blood? [Still probably the best chance of that. Maybe cow's blood was possible but let's go with pig for now. Rip pig-seals.]
[the woman looks between them for a moment before sighing and walking away. mob keeps standing there because honestly? this isn't too different to reactions master reigen got when he spoke to shop owners sometimes. this is a completely normal experience.
she does come back after a beat with a jug of blood. is it pig's blood? hard to say, she doesn't say as much. it is clearly blood though, plopped onto the counter.] What will you trade for it? [she asks, and mob blinks. he keeps forgetting money isn't a thing.]
[Oh. Right. Payment. Sunny had cash from side jobs back in Faraway but that clearly didn't work here. Also she wanted a trade. He glances at Mob, and then back at the woman.

Sunny pulls off his backpack and goes through the items he has. Most of them were either important items he was given when he got here or things he didn't want to part with. However...
He pulls out a bottle of Orange Joe. It is basically a soda that combines orange and coffee flavors. Welcome to hell, ma'am. He places it on the counter.]
[this poor woman looks at the offering with a furrowed brow, while mob looks to sunny.] Are you sure?
[his precious, definitely super valuable orange joe that he loves so much. the woman picks up the bottle with the appropriate amount of distrust for orange joe, turning it over before sighing.] Sure, kid.
[the woman just stares after them for that comment. the world is a fun place in the trench.
mob follows though, cheered in his mild way at the thought of bat cats. he doesn't think of the last time he fed a stray. he thinks about whether batcats have bat fur or cat fur. what the difference was. ]
